If I could choose a place to visit and paint it would be Tuscany. The way cypress trees tower over the landscape has a magical quality. I applied my pastels thicker than usual on this painting to capture the thickness of the vegetation. I had a few reference photos which I studied and then put them aside to work from memory to capture the feeling of the place.

So very beautiful! I would be hard put to choose a place of beauty to reside and paint. So many gorgeous places in this big, beautiful world of ours.
