5" by 6 1/2" daily pastel painting, unframedTrying to get back into the swing of things so I played around with color today. Ever since my first road trip out west I've been in awe of big skies.
I've been way behind on painting for the last month. My mother (93 years old) went into the hospital because of a fall the day after christmas. She's been in a rehab/nursing home and I've been spending most of my time with her. It's been difficult to focus on anything else. We don't know if she'll be able to come home again.
I'm down to one visit a day and I'm adjusting my work schedule around that time.

Ria, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I know you must be so very worried. I do so hope she can come home and soon.
ReplyDeleteThis landscape is so lovely. I especially like the colors in your sky. Something in it reminds me of vague memories of images in a Social Studies book I had way back in grade school. It is a truly wonderful memory that this painting evokes.
